How to Order

We try to keep a large inventory of Norwood sawmills and forestry equipment in stock in both our U.S. and Canada warehouses. We can usually ship your order off our loading dock within just 3 business days! Once your order leaves our factory, it normally takes only three to ten business days to arrive at your door (within the lower 48 states and Canada).

PLEASE NOTE: DURING THE LAUNCH OF THE NEW LUMBERMATE PRO MX34 AND LUMBERLITE ML26 IN EARLY 2010, WE EXPECT EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH DEMAND. WHILE WE’LL DO OUR BEST TO MAINTAIN INVENTORY LEVELS AND SHIP AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE, BECAUSE OF THE ORDER-VOLUME, DELAYS ARE LIKELY. SAWMILLS WILL BE SHIPPED IN THE SAME SEQUENCE AS ORDERS ARE RECEIVED: TO SECURE YOUR PLACE IN THE SHIPPING SEQUENCE, PLEASE CONTACT NORWOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-567-0404 TO PLACE YOUR ORDER WITH DEPOSIT.

How to Place Your Order

To place your order, call us toll-free at 1-800-567-0404 from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST. Outside of North America, please call us at 001-705-689-2800. For all of our contact info, click here.

How to Receive Your Order

Shipment in the U.S. and Canada:

In the U.S. and Canada, we ship Norwood band sawmills and oversize orders by common-carrier freight truck directly to your residence or business so it’s important that your delivery address is easily accessible to a tractor-trailer. Shipped in knock-down form, we package oversize orders on a 4’ x 4’ (1.2m x 1.2m) and 4' x 6' (1.2m x 1.8m) pallets, and band and stretch-wrap your order for secure shipping. Most trucking companies require the driver to bring the shipment to the back of the truck. Because sawmill orders consist of individual pieces and boxes each weighing no more than 100 lbs., you can offload your order piece by piece and do not necessarily need special forklift equipment. If you cannot manage weights up to 100 lbs., you may want a helper to assist you to unload your order. Important: You do require a forklift and/or loading dock to offload your planer/moulder or log moulder order or must request a tailgate service when placing your order.

You or your designated agent must be present to accept the order and off-load it. If no one is at the delivery address to accept the order, re-delivery and storage charges may apply. After your order has shipped, you may want to call the trucking company to confirm date of delivery; call us to obtain your carrier name and phone number, shipment tracking number and ship date.

Pick-Up in the U.S. and Canada

If you would like to pick-up your sawmill or forestry equipment order direct from one of Norwood’s factory warehouses, please call us toll-free at 1-800-567-0404 three business days in advance so that we can have your order ready. You will need a pick-up truck, full-size van or enclosed trailer to pick up your sawmill or other oversized orders.

If you would like to pick up your log moulder or planer / molder order direct from one of Norwood’s factory warehouses, please call us toll-free at 1-800-567-0404 at least one week in advance so that we can arrange to have your order ready. There may be a destination charge. You will need a pick-up truck or enclosed trailer to pick up your order.
